Actress Alison Chace Delivers Credible Truth on new Apple TV+ Heartfelt Drama Series 'DEAR EDWARD'
NEW YORK - Actress Alison Chace emerges as a trusted and reliable Evening News Anchor on the highly-anticipated Apple TV+ drama series, DEAR EDWARD, which premiers on Feb 3rd and comes from award-winning creator Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights).
Based on the novel of the same name by Ann Napolitano, DEAR EDWARD centers around a young boy who survives a plane crash that kills every other passenger, including his family. As Edward and others navigate life after the crash, unexpected freinships, feelings and communities are formed as they try to survive their trauma.
Chace joins a talented cast led by Connie Britton, Taylor Schilling and newcomer Colin O’Brien, stepping into the storyline during the sixth episode, titled “Fugue”, as a trusted News Anchor, who brings depth and a sense of current events happening in the world.
Thrilled at the opportunity, Chace shares “Working on DEAR EDWARD was a blast! Plus, it’s always fun to play a character with a bit of gravitas, especially when it’s a departure from my usual casting type as the tortured wife whose wealthy husband is cheating on her, or the department head handling a crisis be it with a hacker, a medical lawsuit, or some delinquent student. But I’m glad I got to be a part of such a talented ensemble cast and work with director like Jaffar Mahmood.”
Audiences will recognize Chace from her numerous guest-starring roles, including HBO’s award-winning drama Succession, Netflix’s sitcome The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and crime-drama Seven Seconds, CBS’s legal drama Bull, and more recently the revival of NBC’s Law and Order and HBO’s spinoff Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Chace is also a former co-host of the Morning, Noon and Night show on lifestyle network PlumTV.
Not only is Chace an accomplished bicoastal actress, but she is also dedicated to helping other women succeed. As an entrepreneur, Chace launched the online platform pinkwisdom.com, offering expert advice on career and relationship paths from an all-female panel of experts. Extending that further, she recently created the new, flirty and fun Pink Kisses app, offering daily affirmations and self-care advice. IN addition, Chace has self-published two books, launched an award-winning podcast, and co-founded three women’s groups: Cafe Femmes, Hollywood Studio Club, and Neurotica Productions.
Stepping behind the scenes, Chace directed the enlightening global documentary, Under the Same Sky, winning Most Inspirational Film at Top Shorts and Best Director at NWIFT Awards. It features 25 women from 20+ countries discussing love, potential, and self-doubt. Shot during the global pandemic, the film celebrates universal experiences and the power of connection and support for women.
When not on set, Chace is the Chair of Tender Loving Care, a program delivering anonymous care packages to those experiencing loss. She also finds time to be the mom of two sons in their 20s, Finn and Callum.
